Please Note: Expectations for Temporary Nanny Services

When hiring a Temporary Nanny through Need A New Nanny Yesterday (N.A.N.N.Y.), it’s important to understand that this role is more similar to that of a professional babysitter rather than a full-time nanny or household assistant. Temp nannies are there strictly to provide high-quality care and nurturing for your children. Their primary responsibility is to engage with your children through age-appropriate play, supervision, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Temporary nannies are not expected to perform household tasks such as laundry, dishes, or other light housekeeping duties. Their full attention is dedicated to the well-being and care of your children.

Because Temp Nannies are stepping into your home on a short-term basis, they may not be familiar with your family’s routines. We strongly recommend that families provide clear written instructions, including:

• Daily routines (meals, naps, screen time, etc.)
• Any allergies or medical concerns
• House rules or discipline approaches
• Emergency contact information
• Preferred method of communication (email or phone)

Please take a few minutes to review all expectations with your temp nanny prior to your departure. Ensuring the nanny is well-informed helps create a smoother experience for everyone and allows them to provide the best care possible.

We appreciate your cooperation and are here to support you in every step of your childcare journey.
